WB: Please inform me about yourself? Where are you from? How did you get to the place where you are now in marijuana and specifically CBD. What motivated you to look for CBD over THC?
Amanda Fata=AF: My name is Amanda, and I am a 32- year-old Michigan mama of 3 kiddos ages 12, 5, and 2. As a full-time mom and company owner, I am so grateful to be able to hang out with my kids while pursuing an enterprise that I can ideally pass down to them someday. For me, marijuana has constantly been a main tenet of my service. I became a supporter for cannabis when I was young and started using it to recover from my own anxiety, asthma, and ADHD– long before any legal guidelines were put in location. Since that time, I have actually switched from using THC dominant cannabis to CBD, along with our specialized cast formulas that include CBN and CBG. I decided to pursue CBD because I personally believe there is something really restorative about a high CBD stress with low THC to still invoke the entourage effect. THC isn’t the bad person, it’s needed to support CBDs healing residential or commercial properties but I believe it’s finest in low doses.
I went from concealing penny bags and joints from my parents to running a woman-owned CBD empire!
WB: Please inform me about your business? Do you have a mentor in organisation? Organisation acumen? What are your six-month and twelve-month goals?
AF: I began NuVita CBD back in late November of 2019 as a method to be of service to others. NuVita is a 100%woman-owned company. I take excellent pride in being of service to others, so I found this business with the intent of supporting females and kids from our neighborhood who originate from violent or human trafficked circumstances. Every month, we donate a portion of our month-to-month sales to regional charities or shelters. The cash is designated to purchase basic basics and, in many cases, is put towards customized services such as physical and mental health assistance, cooking classes, financial education and even resume and application resources simply among others. These services are essential to help the boys and ladies who receive this care, make something of themselves. My service mentor is an incredible guy by the name of Ryan Daley. He’s helping me to fine-tune my abilities so I can become an even much better leader than I was before. Ryan heads out of his way to make time in his schedule to assist guide me on a monthly basis. It’s amazing what having the right group around you can do!
I am also really fortunate to have my hubby who supports and guides me through this experience. He is extremely well-informed about business, structuring a company, operations, and so much more.
As far as the future goes, our 6-month goals are to get our difficult launch below our belt, to bring on more industry specialists such as a COO, and to actually begin to grow our network of affiliates. We currently have over 2100 members in our affiliate program. I understand that we are just scratching the surface of our potential! Our 12- month goal is to be able to contribute 100 K a month to charities. You can really change the course of someone’s lives with a contribution like that. That’s my wish!
WB: What obstacles do you face when working in marijuana? Preconceptions? What markets do you wish to go into next? Barriers?
AF: I believe the biggest challenge we deal with in the CBD area is just getting our affiliates trained well enough to address questions prior to people can even think of them. A lot of CBD is hemp-derived, but we’ve made a commitment to sourcing our CBD from cannabis. That way, our customers can maximize the benefits of CBD without experiencing a ‘true’ THC high
The next market I want to enter is co-packing. I see fantastic opportunities because industry. My plan for emerging into this market is to improve the sales process and to develop stronger relationships with smaller up and coming organisations. Many co-packers presently have massive minimums that most of start-ups can not afford. I also think that automating a great deal of procedures done internally on the relationship side of this industry can and must be enhanced. I make certain there will be challenges associated with that path, however I will cross that bridge when I get there. With the best group, anything can be achieved.
WB: Do you have a food memory from childhood that you want to share? A meal you want to describe from any time? Preferred recipe?
It’s a mix of peanut butter, maple syrup, and rice cereal with CBD infused chocolate on top.
WB: What is your enthusiasm?
AF: My enthusiasm is simply to be a kind human who devotes my time here in the world to being of service to others. The world requires more kindness and love, particularly with how various social interactions are nowadays. My mama always told me that the tiniest remarks can make someone’s entire day reverse. Whether it’s a discuss Instagram or a compliment to somebody in passing, I firmly believe this to be true. NuVita has actually been a fantastic method for me to influence and motivate others to likewise be a service driven, kind human. I do not just offer CBD, I help to develop people up. CBD is simply the vehicle that helps me reach numerous.
